We use quite a few of the partner K950 chop saws at the SF water dept.
They are replaced yearly and there is a stock pile of old power heads perhaps available.
Is it possible to put a bar on one of these and make it a chainsaw?
Would it be a reasonable big saw?
TIA, Bill

Most chop saws are built lacking provision to accommodate a chain oiler set up. If you can get the saws reasonably I would suggest selling them and buying a chain saw with the proceeds. Mike

If you can not get them sold, send me a list of the models, I help you sort out what parts goes where. A lot of thease are made with same parts as the saws as: left blockside, cylinder, piston, ignition, handles crank and starter.

How did that sound?

If you want to get rid of one, I might be interested in a K950. my DM50 is a piece of crap.
