What's with those handle bars on that one? Looks awkward and kickback prone, wrist strength versus full front and rear spread arms strength. What's the design purpose for that sort of configuration? That 365.

I've looked but couldn't find a video showing of one being operated. I'm curious of how they would handle also.

This one is just cool. 365H

Shouldn't there be tassels on the grips and little white basket with a flower mounted on the tank?

They dig the snow away from the tree, but don't want to enter the hole themselves. The 365H replaced the 262XPH, just a few years ago. Many Russian made saws have that handle style.......

:msp_confused: They dig the snow away from the tree?

From Husqvarna:

"Powerful, lightweight and very easy chainsaw with raised arms. Designed for felling of trees in deep snow at temperatures down to minus 40 degrees. The location and height of the arms contribute to the exhaust gases away from the user. Lightweight, ergonomic features unique and excellent balance make the model 365H one of the best saws of this type."

"The function of rotation of arms:
Function helps the operator to turn the handles to maneuver a chainsaw without changing the working posture."

That's pretty sweet, but if the snow is that deep I'm stayin inside

After I read your post I went back to Husqvarnas website to look at attachments. I couldn't find tassels, a white basket or flowers but I did find the tiller attachment. It must be Husqvarnas latest answer to Stihls Kombi system. I can't wait till Mastermind meets the Husqvarna 365HTiller. Port that sucker and dig to China! :D

This is some footage of mostly vintage Russian saws of a similar design. I nearly fell of the chair laughing when I saw....never mind. I'm not a movie teller.

These don't show use in the snow, but they do show the rotation of the bar, and how the saw handles away from the body and out of the deep snow they have there about 9 months of the year. You can certainly see the value of that design in such a cold climate.

One can dig only so much snow. Somebody has to concentrate on the doggone tree.

That is a much more traditional one, than either the 262xph or 365h - but it leaves no doubt why the Huskys are so popular there, regardless of the much higher price!
