I agree with you 100% on this. I had a 281 Husky and it was not even close to my p52 or p51, so down the road it went. Are you getting close to starting on your p52 Paul?

Ha, I'm no farther than I was many months ago. I've got a great saw to work on and a pile of good parts. I just need to make the time to put it all together!

So I should play some more with my P51 eh? Want a 20" bar for it as that is adequate up here for the small wood we have.

I ran a 24" for a long time. Then I got some good advice about trying a 28" bar on a 51. The 28" is the ticket for me. The saw has plenty of power to run it and it's very well balanced. You also don't have to bend over as much when bucking logs on the ground. My back enjoys that.

Curious what differences are there wrt the P51 vs P52Western?
One bug I have with my P51 is why did they point the exhaust at the clutch cover? Did they not care that WE care about these saws?
Agree Tim these do run and sound great
The lime green p52s came with the new style coils. Besides the coil mount the cylinders aren't much different. I think that the upper transfers are a little better on the p51, but that is just me. I don't like the clutch cover killing mufflers either lol.

I run the K&N airfilter on my 655, really wakes this one up,

Got a couple parts for the 600. The bar and chain bolted on no mods .375-.058. Going to snag a "Free Wood U Cut" trunk tomorrow . A big red oak on the ground looks around 4'. The 600 isn't ready and I wont risk it . Some of the other girls will fill in .

AAAHHHH, oooohhhhh, a 600. Almost like a sugar rush when I see one of them even though I have owned more than a couple dozen of them, always a rush on first sight. Your front handle is from a 650, nice upgrade.
