I am looking for advice on the best gas-oil mix ratio for my old pioneers that I collect (and use weekly). I have 4 of them a p42 western,2 p42 high performance partners and a p60. power is important, but I want them to last a long time. Any help on the ideal mix? PIONEERS SOUND BETTER!!!!

I think that you would be fine using 40:1 in all of them. Keep in mind that that the OEM's all sell 50:1 oil that they say is good for just about anything they ever made. As they have gone to the 50:1 ratios, it's not the saws that have changed. The oils have been re-formulated to protect at the leaner ratios.

Simple way to go would be to buy the 2.5 gallon bottles and mix them with 2 gallons of gas for the 40:1 mix.
