Sure was a lot of blood spilled for not much return today..

got any big poplar? i would settle for big white oak as well. you always talk about mean azz twisty hedge apple lol.

No yellow poplar is worthless lol. Cottonwood is good light pallet lumber. And always a joy to cut. Not a lot of top and lots of board feet.

Poplar isn't completely worthless......just smells like piss.

We got some ****** trees...
But also some good oaks south of here..

It's not uncommon to see 20+ inch hedge in my part of the world.

Yeah, but it don't grow straight..
And the 24+ incher's got shake 90% of the time...
Very frustrating.

Got some Osage orange by me 36" diameter or more, they are on park property. I get 20-24 on a regular basis. Usually twisting, stickers, and sometimes cavitated with dirt on the inside, burns like coal when you get it, and doesn't seem to take long to season
