Guys,
After years on the ground running the saw, I decided to learn climbing as best I could with what limited resources were available here in Louisville, KY. I have read the "Tree Climber's Companion" cover to cover several times, and watched the "Basic Training for Tree Climbers" videos (Rip Tompkins & Ken Palmer).
I have gotten the basics down fairly well for a self-taught climber. However, I have yet to spend a few days with a real instructor who can "show me the ropes" (bad pun), and more importantly what I am doing incorrectly. A good climbing school is the next step for me.
Can you guys recommend a few good climbing schools AND perhaps some climbing schools that I should stay away from? I see many good comments about ArborMasters. Any other climbing schools worth the time and money?
