This ain't the first one of these I've done......but the first one was just last week. After doing a couple, I figured I'd share some of what I've figured out about em.

First thing I found was this strangeness.

From another angle...

And the case.....

OK, so you can see that the transfer inlet sticks down into the case......that would make it tough to cut the base on this jug. The case could be milled.......but I'm not gonna try that.

I did something else instead. :)

:popcorn: Randy has a cool job making saws go fast. Do you think Still has fixed this model now with new ignition blah blah ect? Or do they suffer from the same floors? I have a rear handle 201 & was using it yesterday with some of that itsy bitsy narrow kerf oregon chain and sheez that skinny chain can run! lts just not to good when you try cutting nails with it.:dizzy:

Was this one of the first gen 201T's or the newer one with the improvements?

I can't tell that the new ones are much better than the old ones Doug.

I think they may be tuned a little better from the factory now though. Proper tune makes a huge difference in this unit.
