Neighbor gave me a Homelite 330 chain saw - free !

A an hour and a half cleaning the crap out of the fuel tank and solvent flush of the filter/carb and it runs, good even !

Owner said repair shop said it 'is not worth fixing' ..... wonder what repair hourly rate at chain saw shops is these days!

Or, is a Homelite 330 worth almost nothing? Have a 360, which is a good saw.

This came up recently in the Poulan thread. Consensus was that hourly rates were in the neighborhood of $75/hr. $112.50 is more than I'd pay for a 330. But I'd definitely put a couple hours into a free one. ;)

agreed except everyones different. if i saw a 330 at a garage sale i'd consider buying it for $20 and likely annoy the wife to hell debating it longer then it takes her to look at everything else. this is only if i saw potential too. $10 no question i'd buy it and that would be my offer if the price was $20. $30 not a chance. if it was NOS never seen fuel i might be tempted to pay the $30. lol
