Hello,

When I was contract cutting my last saws were 385s. I loved them always had 372s before that but wanted a little more omph without too much weight. I liked the saws alot, carried a 24in bar in hardwood excellent. The majority of what I used to cut was black cherry, oaks, hickory, beech, maples, etc... and now and then some white pine and hemlock.

BTW before the 372s all I had were 394s. I didn't have the timber anymore that required the power and weight.

Myself and alot of my crew use the 390's. Great dependable saw. Most guys run them with a 36" bar. It pulls it no problem.
