I'm rebuilding the upper end on a Husky 281xp.I'm also changing the crank seals. The base has oil in it.I'm going to flush the base before I put the new seals in.Do I have to put new oil in before I put the jug back on.If I do,how much. Also,do you know the torque on the jug.Thanks...

As in there is oil sitting the crankcase of a 2 stroke engine? That is pretty much normal, as they tend to collect a little bit of oil from the fuel mix, as that is how they lube themselves. Flushing it out so it doesn't carry any dirt through the engine isn't a bad idea, and lightly oil the crank and bearings with some fresh 2 stroke mix oil. If there is a big puddle of oil, it may foul a plug and smoke like a tire fire when started up, so don't overdo it.
