Anybody have any?

My brother works on guitars and doesn't even own a chainsaw. We got into a debate last night about "Adirondack Spruce" He claims it is this super rare hard to find wood species. From what I have read, it is simply red spruce grown in the Adirondack region.

Anyway, I told him about a place I know where a bunch of knowledgeable wood gatherers congregate and surely would be able to clear this up and probably dismiss its rarity.

I tried explaining to him that while we may not have many specimens of it around here, there are regions that do. Just like we have tons of oak and there are guys who would kill for a cord of it in other areas.

He said he would be willing to pay to have a hunk of it shipped and compensate someone for their trouble.

He really just wants a piece to use for repairs, it does not have to be a great specimen.
