I missed that, you sure Matt.He ported the muffler on page 6
670 piston turned down to a Pop up to compensate for elevation next? Should have plenty carb for the higher piston skirt/intake timing. The next 10 pages will be getting the chain dialed in, not sure how long the muffler mods gonna take.
"T' 'ell u ride "FWIW, i used to live in Telluride, Co. Elevation 9,860 ft. I used a chainsaw daily then building log homes. They certainly were tuned for the elevation. My observations, we ran both Huskys and Stihls. Huskies were always the hard starter but probably the better cutter.
what I meant to say^^^670 piston turned down to a Pop up to compensate for elevation next? Should have plenty carb for the higher piston skirt/intake timing.
Which one is better where you live now .
I though the Echo would be better in the mountains?Echo Hi buddy

No. Removed the jug. Measured ring gap. Cleaned piston. Hit cylinder with scotch brite a re assembled it. And alot more bsSo wait, did this really turn into a 16 page thread about carb adjustment and a ****** dull chain? I only made it 5 pages...
Wait im supposed to get a real chain. LolYes, but now that the carb is adjusted were hanging out until he gets a real chain .
At least a month! The muff is pretty wide open. Ill leave it aloneThe next 10 pages will be getting the chain dialed in, not sure how long the muffler mods gonna take.
You may have missed the part about the Stihl dealer not seeming to have a clue either so he'd have ended up here anyway most likely.Maybe it's time to get a Stihl?
Sorry...even that supposedly "good running" 65cc Husky a few pages back looked like pretty weak sauce to me unless it was at 14k feet elevation...I suspect my 59cc 361 would walk right away from it here at sea level, and sound a lot better doing so...
Why would I want another Stihl I've got enough problems alreadyMaybe it's time to get a Stihl?
