Great pic's, Thanks for sharing.
Nice looking groomer, How wide is it.
Up in Maine where i ride there 8 and 10
feet wide.

I might have to load up my sleds and head
on over your way. Sweet looking trail system.

Hey Kevlar, Im curious what engine make, size, and horsepower those snow cats have.

I work on a lot of different equipment, so naturally Im curious.

Awesome pictures! I would love a job like that.

Cummins 250hp from what I have researched so far. Yeah, I bet they dont lack for power. We used to put those engines in crawler cranes up to 50 ton.

theres alot of lakes...lol..

Shuswap, then near Kamloops...
Revelstoke and Jacksons Hole Wyoming are the Meccas for Backcountry sledding.

Just another member of the bucket list.

Those cats can really climb on ski hills and sometimes they even winch each other up the very steep terrain.
Kinda cool to watch them

Revelstoke has the Mica dam on their end, that created the man made lake- Kinbasket so we are on the other end of the valley and share the lake, mountains and snow conditions.I live in Valemount.
check out our website at alpine country rentals, where I work as a stihl tech and firewood cutter.LOL

Kevlar I love that area!!! One of my favs for sure.
I could tell by the "new" mountains roughly where you were.
Be thankful brother, you are in one of the most beautiful spots in the world.

The sledders are drooling. You can sled in one direction for about a month...on groomed 4 lane trails through elevations and terrain that would make an easterner weak in the knees and personally I almost puked.

Me and the family will be in that area at the end of March.
Gods country.. man
btw me and Rogers Pass have a date, do you know a chopper pilot? lol

Bob

nope just smoke and mirrors.Yes it's a small place but I was born and raised here so I'm just a good ol' boy at heart. Work hard, raise my family play a little hockey, quad, snowmobile and cut wood anytime anywhere I want! I can spit in any direction and I'm cutting it's awesome.

Pretty sure I'll have to come up there in the next few weeks and go sledding. I've got an M1000 that's not quite stock. We've got a lot of snow up high, but nothing at all down low.

We flew that same snowcat in the pics with a chinook this summer for work (up by Kitimat)

I know a lineman or two from up there. A couple of other lineman I know are half-assed planning a sled trip...

Maybe I should bring a husky or two :)
