Got this saw as a freebie and I used it for a season solely for yard work, brush cutting, trimming and a little firewood if I came across some. Ran great and now it won't. Starts fine but won't stay running. After some tinkering, I took it in and shop cleaned carb good. They say it then ran great but now it won't. Telling me I should replace carb. Compression at 120. All total, will be $150.
Should I ditch it or fix it? I know it's an antique now, hey free. I don't use it a heck of a lot but when I need it, I need it. Plus lightweight etc.
If I ditch it, what should I replace it with for the purposes I mentioned. I've got a couple of bigger saws for firewood.
