have noticed the pink ones , the only ones I used so far do heat the chisel and can change the color , or burn the metal.

If you discover that you are heating up the cutters more than you would like, use a wheel dresser

I dress the wheel lightly before each chain loop. Dressing exposes fresh abrasive so that you are not rubbing a dull wheel against the cutters, creating heat.

Grinding too fast, or with too much pressure, will cause overheating with any wheel.
