oh yeah,
one of those boxes on the top shelf was marked partner. that could be cool huh?

pictured below: just above 9 o'clock and beneath the eager beaver. sort of a copper colored saw with black handle. hard to see. anyone I.D. that one?

Left shelf, second one up on the right, under the Partner, looks to be a Poulan XX.

Let me know if its complete with a decent cyl/piston.

Too bad the 4400 wasn't included.

Yep thats the one. Sent you a pm.

not looking good mark.

my boxes are stacked two high so i can't see in all of them but i'm not finding an xx so far.
here is an example of what i have. anything look similar? theres also a s25da(?) in a box in pieces.
tomorow i will be sorting some more and may come across your animal yet.

btw:
the man kept 3 saws (other than his customer saws). they were runners he had on a rack. 028 for $250, 026 $160, and a poulan. that poulan looked like a micro but was longer looking. i think it may have been a xx. his hang tag was $100.00. i thought he was nuts.

edit:
i just looked at acres and the xx is tiny. there may be hope for that xx yet. was there a remington variant?

That green one which looks like a 330 is a timbermaster. Not a bad saw at all. Keep posting, I digging this tread! If you find any partner p500 or p5000, pm me.

Also, if you do get tired of doing all of this, just message some of the guys on ebay that part out saws; they will pay you quite a bit for that lot, especially if some of the stuff is new.

From left to right it appears to be a S25CVA, Micro XXV, S25DA, 2300CVA, maybe a 2700-3300 and a Craftsman S25.

Don't sweat the XX saw. I was just curious.

what stihls did you get?????

if you are willing to part with a few let me know

i have a bunch of 066, several 026, several 038, 1-2 360, 1 056 (still finding pieces of it), 3-5 031 (again, peices), 2-3 048, at least 1 041, several 028,
4-5 015, 4-5, 020, 1-1/2 08s (approximately), 1 044 or 046 (not sure yet),
1-2 ms290, at least 1 ms390, 1 039, at least 1 024, 2-3 011 and 009, and a few i still haven't figured out yet (surely i forgot a few too).

bear in mind that most are stripped down.
i want to part with all but one or two.

i'd like to know more about the timbermaster! i was thinking of keeping that one, just cuz it reminded me of the decent 330.

i have only found 1 partner so far. it says farmer on it. the powers that be say its a 55? not much left to it. who knows, i am still digging through the boxes, i may find another one in hiding. :)

i am already tired of it. but i'll stick it out for a while. i think i can make back my investment and maybe help a few of you guys out with some old project saws you might have.

Wow! You most diffidently hit a home run on that deal.

Please keep posting. I feel like I scored right along with you.

You will make back you initial investment in no time flat.

If the 038's are complete, just needing top ends, you'll make your money back and then some, just from those. The 066's I seen in the pictures were fairly stripped.

Fuel tanks, plastics, and handles are the money items...don't over look those stripped out saws.

here's the thing.
the 038s are stripped down just like the 066s. but the guy kept everything!
it's like he dismantled the saws and shuffled the parts and tossed em in boxes.

if i keep looking i'll have everything i need to build a few saws.

Paul is right, while it might not be feasible to repair the saws and make them run, it doesn't mean their value goes down much. The 066 stuff will make your money back and then some.

I'm gonna send ya a PM with some requests and what not.

The farmer saw is a partner, and I believe it is just like a p55. The farmer decal was for marketing. I sold one to a guy my dad works with, he loves it. It belonged to my aunt, who's family used it in Maine for firewood. Nice old unit.

ModifiedMark is the poulan man, I'm almost 100% positive that is a timbermaster, which I believe is similar to the 330 (same family at least) and again, just named that for marketing.

by all means you may send a request. just be mindful that i will not be real fast finding what you need. i have a long way to go yet........

you are right, even if they are all apart, the value is still there.
i spent all day yesterday and half of today giving about 1/3 of my loose stihl parts a quick wash. by sheer volume theres money there.
the rest of today was spent grouping parts by stihl saw family and logging part# and quantity.:dizzy:
the bonus to all this is that with every box i dig through i find another used but serviceable p/c! got 'em for various saws. i can't figure why half of these saws were stripped down. it's like the guy took in a 038 with bad p/c and left it half asssembled. then he took in one with tree-fell-on-it damage that he also took apart. he never thought to put the 2 saws together!!! just the 038 cases are piling up in the garage, let alone the stinkin' 028 stuff and the others. but i think i finally got to the bottom of the 038s today.:dizzy: and if i have to look at one more mystery part from a 031 or 048......:chainsaw:

there isn't much left to that old 'farmer' 55. but there are a few ebay worthy goodies on it yet.
i know a guy with a medium sized partner with 'semi-pro' on the side of it. he won't part with that thing for anything!!!
