Ok, I have come up with the ultimate CHEAP build off saw. They are very plentiful, on or under every bench, parts are everywhere. The only problem is I'm not real sure on the potential but a Mc 610. Now that I think about it,

nawwwwwww, 268 is better.....

I vote 266/268 ........I like to stay away from them orange and white saws....jus sayin....

Good choice. I have two that I would "lend out" to a builder if they needed it. For the sake of the cause, and stuff. :D

No rules on these???

Just chose the platform and go?

Could just go with a cc and under, and roll with it... :msp_confused:

I like the xl-12 / 10-10 idea. everyone has one lying around and you never hear of anyone doing "work" on them. just keep the 10-10 on the 3.3 ci engine parts are everyware!

Personally, I would like to see a 6400 Dolmar/Makita buildoff!

I'd be in for $50.00 to meet the grand old troll of AS!!!!
I believe that would be cheap to spend a day with him.

This may be doable because I just checked and round trip to Memphis from Troms Norway looks like 1500 to 2000.

Dolmar 6400 would be fine with me. I do like the 268/288 better though.....
