I use Permetherin 10% mixed i ounce to 16 ounces water. Spray your clothes and boots and let dry before wearing. I have tried this and it works. I read the dosage on a turkey hunting forum.
ive had lymes twice now and it is not a fun ordeal. it has put me out of the logging business because of not being able to work in the heat . I feel like im about to die in hot weather now.

My wife and I both have lyme. Neither of us can stand even warmish to hot weather any more.
I have several large trees in my yard and thought ticks fell out of the trees and got on me. I googled "ticks falling from trees" and from what I read they do not. They like grass and weeds.
They do come out of trees. I have a big cedar that when ever I get near it I can count on a half dozen or better on me.I keep the grass mowed tight in that field.
My wife and I have had lyme going on little over 2 years now. It sucks period. I've always been a very busy person as long as my eyes were open. Now it's a struggle to put one foot in front of the other.................
I have a lot of ticks where I live. This spring I would always have 3 or 4 on me until I sprayed my clothes and boots. It lasts for 6 or 7 washings too.
you guys got me wondering now. symptums sound familier. i have logged here for over 20 years and prolly had thousands on me, never a rash tho. what does it mean when any tick that bites ends up dead by the end of the day?
If you get the bite rash go to the Doc or ER right away.

If you know that you had a tick bite, even with no rash, many doctors are now prescribing short term Doxy proflactively.
Trust me the inconvenience of taking antibiotics for a few days sure beats having lyme... Chronic Lyme disease will kick your ass.
