If your oil bottle has a thin metal safety cover (like the Walmart ones) use a screwdriver and make two horizontal slits opposite each other, with one being larger. You'll get a nice steady small stream of oil.

Gas tank vent hose breaks or any other small puncture hole -- a quick temporary fix is force a small twig in the hole it will swell and stop the leak.

If you have a long chipper dump truck bed and raising the chute blows chips over the truck -- disconnect the chipper, move the tongue a little to the side of the hitch and back the truck up.

Save all used & worn out gloves, keep them to use when you're doing your daily greasing to keep your hands clean or buy disposable latex mechanic's gloves.

Keep all the plastic bag from your morning stop at 7-11, WaWa, etc., and use them as garbage bags in the cab or as a quick glove while greasing.

If you do landscaping (or know someone) save the large (5gal+)plastic tree containers -- they make great rope & equipment buckets, plus they have holes in the bottom for drainage of water or chips.
