Was on the tractor supply website today and saw a banner "coming soon husqvarna chainsaws."

Red ones not selling so good? Maybe they figure enough people forgot that's what they used to sell and they'll get some extra sales out of the "new" line like they did when they went to Jonsered a couple of years ago.

The real joke on the average consumer is that they're the exact same...

This pretty much confirms the rumors that Husqvarna is fazing out Jonsered. And is going to reduce them to homeowner quality saws only. Sad

Same here. Everytime I go, a good product they use to carry is gone, and some made in China crap is on its place.

Right, and that's what they said they're selling. Who knows. I'm keeping tabs on which local stores have a 2166 for when they go on clearance...

Don't think ours has any Jreds left, just bars and chains and tuneup kits left in Jred brand.

Been hearing rumors that TSC is going back to Husqvarna. Jonsered is switching to a consumer brand similar to Poulan and Weedeater. But I'm not sure what box stores may sell it.

Most of the Jonsered chainsaws will be switching to the RedMax brand. But that is just a part of Husqvarna's plan for RedMax.

You will not see RedMax label equipment in a box store.

Wow... Really sad. These pictures make me glad that I don't own any "new" Jonsered saws. My 49sp, the 52E and 70E is how I want to remember such a great brand.

Redmax isn't Redmax anymore either, just a different color husky and in a few more years with be sold at Home Depot also.

Got the brand new 2018 RedMax catalog here. There are 30 handheld models that are true RedMax/Zenoah units.

The other products are from the Jonsered and husqvarna lines.

Ya pretty much Jonsered is still going to be distributed by Gardner in the northeast and there only supposed to have like 5 models now. I took some of the new redmax saws in due to the fact I moved a ton of redmax inventory so I have no issues selling the saws under that name. My distributor in the northeast still has a ton of Jonsered stuff still. They had like 400+ 2166's in stock still.
