Whats the difference between a 361 and 362? This new 362 is the most underpowered saw of this size I've ever used. It feels like I'm using the old 044 as far as weight goes, but I think my old 028 would cut faster then this thing does. It keeps stalling out in the wood so I have to ease the pressure off, and yes while a lot of saws may do that at times, with this its doing it constantly. Its disapointing with how slow it cuts. It feels like I'm trying to run a 36" bar on it when cutting.
Is this a problem others have noticed with a 362?

Did the dealer start the saw and check the carb settings?

Good Lord. Shut up and cut. :monkey:

Where's Gary when you need him? Probably sleeping! Or SawTroll, for that matter? :D :D

Not by any means, I'm no professional but you wont see me going on an Arborsite tirade pi$$ing and moaning at other members because I'm not in a good mood.

Man oh Man, your haveing a bad weekend with anyone saying anything negitive about a Stihl. Deal with it.

Honestly, I don't care about what brand is getting pissed on. Doesn't matter what color a saw is to begin with, after a whiny pissing match, they all turn yellow.

I've cut with old Macs, Homies, Sachs-Dolmars, Poulans and a bunch of other saws. Just because I've bled creamsicle for the last 20 doesn't mean I think other brands are ####.

I ain't sick of the brand, whatever the brand. I'm sick of the rant.

Clear?

I haven't run one yet.

i held one at the dealer and it felt pretty good weight wise.

I think you're dealer is a dud.sounds like it wasn't tuned properly.I have run into this with some Stihl dealers.

No, I never seen you go off like this before. Maybe I just got the wrong impression. Carry on!

How many tanks of fuel/how much run time do you have on the saw?

I have a relatively new MS 361, which took about seven full tanks of run time/break-in for the saw to develop good power, and another three-four tanks before it was screaming....

Maybe it is break-in related...?

Lol just because your sick of the rant, does not mean it will disappear, clear? Mostly the pickin is in fun and your skin gets thicker, then there is brand traitors, that one day even knowing husky's best, turn to stihl loving zombies:laugh: Anyway; just sayin, run what ya like, its the way the saw turns and that ain't no flippy

Completely disregarding the colors....... not broken in, carb settings and green labeled safety chain that some dealers insist on installing on ALL new saws come to mind. But I'm not there, so.......
