One point I will say though, thats 2 year old fuel in that blower as told to me by the owner. Old fuel will still run a 2 cycle engine even if its up to two years old. Many find that hard to beleive but theres the proof and the results of it.
Not questioning the Champ here, but I find it real difficult to believe 2 year old fuel will still allow you to start a two stroker. Going by the numerous fuel/ethanol issues with US fuel as outlined on this forum, I assume we have much better quality fuel over here in europe. But even with this better fuel, I very rarely am allowed to start oldie saws I pick up with old fuel in it. And if they start, they mostly will smoke so heavily that even a retard will realise something is wrong with the fuel.
Could it be that the blower had a very high oil mix to cause that blackening over a long period of time ?
