A local has this Mac for sale and was just wondering your thoughts on it. Thinking about adding it to my collection as I think it was the lightest saw made. Here's the ad and pic...

that is a clean old saw. may not be the most powerful but just as awsome.

The owners manual and the saw don't match.
That saw is one of the mini mac's.Not in the same league as a PM6.

That is not the correct manual for that saw, but they are very similar. I bet it is a Mini MAC 6 or 6A. That looks like a very clean saw. $75 is alot for a mini, as they were only about $100 new. If you want it, and it runs well, I say go for it. A former member here once said "mini's either run very well, or not at all." Unfortunately, if they do not run, it is usually the points. You have to disassemble the ENTIRE powerhead to adjust the points.
