someone needs to test to see how much the stihl factory installed restrictor restricts...

well sorry for stating inaccurate information it i always heard from people with 2 stroke bikes it burned dirty.
i guess they were running the castor or the super.

Pardon my ignorance, but what does the computer saw if you "hook it up"? You would think mtronic would recognize this as a problem and log it as such.

Hmmm sphincter effect.

would running premium gas rather than regular make a difference in deposits?
Klotz Super Techniplate at 32:1 I've been running this in all my saws for a couple years now and never seen anything like this buildup.
So, which of the above suggested synthetics should I go to? price/gal seems about the same with freight via Amazon.
the mystery continues...

If the saws get run hard and not a ton of idle time I don't see deposits that much. If they are run on a mill and only idle a minute or so after a cut and shut off I've not got a totally black piston top even with Maxima 927. H1R takes too much adjustment for me to run and then try to send a saw out to someone who doesn't have a tach to tune them. I've noticed almost a 1k rpm difference from Klotz to H1R. K2 is good oil as is Motul 800. The Motul 800 can be used to =54° according to the engineers I spoke with back in December.

Since I have those rubber rings in the intake, I should try the saw on the dyno and see what difference it makes.

At first i couldn't figure out where the rubber came from as one was on the floor and the other was sideways in the intake port of the cylinder, not the boot.

I asked randy but he was confused too until he sent the link to this post.

I've been asked to get the serial number of the 661 to compare.

Just waiting to get home from work.

bought from: https://sharpeningshop.stihldealer.net/ Turlock, Calif
I've been buying saws, etc from these guys since the late '80s and Mike and his bunch are great to work with...I highly recommend them.

I haven't noticed any problems with R50, k2, or Motul 800 with the huskies and one 441 that was here.
