For the most of firewood cutting it is the 028 and smaller the 445 or 51 gets the job done. Most of my saws have a 16 BC on them.I generally do not cut anything larger that I may have to split.Occasionally my 041 get some exercise or I get it, Ken

Their is nothing worse than having to small of a saw, I'd rather lug around a 70cc saw when i might only need it 30% of the time than strain around on big logs with the 346 or 026, their great but by no means are they meant for 20-30 inch oak... I do use the 346 alot more than any other though.

When cutting tops the MS261's are getting the most use, it used to be the 361, but above 18-20" the 460 and 044 run the most. I've really seen the saw use change over the last year. Since I have added more 70cc saws and the 261's the 60cc sets more and more. The ported 460 hardly ever gets set down, one of the guys is always running it. It's hard to beat a good 70cc saw irregardless of brand. I usually have to run whatever is left on the truck, since I'm almost always the last one to the worksite.lol

I'm just a firewood cutter so I don't like to get rounds any heavier than I want to lift into my truck.
90% of the time I'll grab the 5100s (50cc). The 024 Super (46cc?) is really nice too, because it seems lighter, but it's not quite as fast.
I love running all my other saws but the 2 above get my work done with the least effort.

Yeah some guys get a hard on over huge firewood logs, but give me nice 12" diameter logs
that I can split into quarters and grab the next piece. I don't have a loader, skidder, utility tractor, or dozer
so my firewood is limited to what I can lift or roll.

For logging, I'd say its:

80% - 70cc (441 Modded)
10% - 90cc (660 Modded)
10% - 50cc (260 Modded)

For at home or landowner stuff mostly 260 Modded and then a complete mix of things after that just to get them running, like the 084, just run it in some firewood, for the kicks of it, not the necessity.

This is the wrong place to ask...

90% of the time, I need a 50cc saw.
90% of the time, I run a 70cc+ saw...

Because I can and no one's here to judge me!

Used to use my Jonsered 2071 with 24" bar for everything. I've found that my knuckles don't drag the ground as quickly during a long day of cutting when I use the Olympyk 962. If my lack of endurance keeps progressing, I may end up with the Homie XL as my main saw.:hmm3grin2orange:

Firewood cutting, max diam 20".

35 cc wherever it works- low fatigue-factor, noise, vibes.
56 cc where there's real work for it- justifying getting it up to temp. Lots noisier.
