Smashed nails, on fingers an toes. If you go to the emergency, they will bring out the soldering iron looking contraption. Gets glowing , cherry red. Hold that to the nail, within seconds it burns through. The minute it goes through the pressure releases an instant relief. You can release the pressure by sticking a needle up, under the nail too. Then you have a neat little hole in you nail and then it falls off.
