261c or 362c would be the two you need to choose from.
MS 250 is a great saw from what I've seen. As a "starter saw" for home use, it's not too big and not too small. If the need arises you can always go bigger down the road.
What should it go for new? It's hard finding prices online for Stihls, and I thought that they all sold at the same prices. They have the 251 for $20 more. They had the 250 w/ 18" bar ($360) No way in hello I'd give that much for a 250.
Go to Stihl site. Find local dealer. Prices listed on local dealer site. Very transparent.
$359.95 brand new

Np.OK, so I'm not crazy. Thanks Mike.
I don't own a Stihl. If I was going to get one, I would listen to Brad or Randy (Mastermind) and probably get a 261 and get it ported. If you have been using an axe and a pullsaw you will be impressed. The 261 is a favorite. I have no experience with the others.
