If ya had $1200.00 to buy a new saw to run a 28 and 32'' bar to cut hardwood for firewood in diameter of 24-40'' what would it be? Lets keep this to new from dealer saws...not old, used or ported. All the dealers are pretty local and good so the dealer is not a problem either.

7910. If you can stay with a 28". From what I have been told the longer bars oiling gets light.
Definitely one of the lighter saws and usually less expensive.

I'm getting old so for me a 461 with a lightweight 28" bar . If the wood is going to 36" and up most of the time then a 661.
