So far the poll results are:

16" bar on 50cc: 2 votes
MS-241: 3 votes
Small Echo: 3 votes

I guess there's no wrong answer. :)

Any interest in a Jonsered 2260? Its the small mount version of the 562xp. I have one in excellent condition i'm gonna let go.

I can take a forest apart with a 16” bar on my 2100. I killed 15” oak. Darn saws cut so good it should be against the law.

I own a Shindaiwa 352. Bought it at a pawn shop.It needed a new gas line. What a task locating one.Anyway after cleaning the muffler from all the oil deposits it now runs great. Put a 3/8 Stihl RS 16 inch chain on it and it cuts like a dream. Has the elasto start that make it very easy to pull. Great little saw.I will never buy a Stihl, or a new Husky. Just recently purchased a Echo CS 550 p. An older model but the dealer was wanting to sell. So I bought one.

I stand by my 241 suggestion. But, please don't over look the Hoosky 543XP and Dolmar 421.

MS241- 9.9 lbs, 3.1hp
543XP - 9.9 lbs, 2.95hp
PS-421 - 10.8 lbs, 2.9 hp

Yes folks, I just suggested something besides a Stihl.

I really do want one and keep trying to justify it! I'm just having a hard time getting my head around having 2 saws just 8cc apart.

I guess I could put a 14 on the 241 and leave the 18 on the 261 and they'd cover quit a different spread.

I would run the 261 as is and add a 70cc saw. I use a 290 with a 20in bar for limbing and topping and also have a 440(20in bar) and a 461(25in/32in bar) for the bigger wood. Let me ask, are you cutting firewood? If so after loading a truck full of wood the weight of your 261 shouldn't be an issue I would think.
Yes! I'm cutting firewood. Sometimes on my property, other time helping a friend clear his.

It probably won't help you, but I have run a 18" 325 setup on my 241 with no trouble at all. Quite impressive honestly. But when I went from 6 to 7 teeth on the 16" Picco, it became a little monster.

I'd put a 20" on the 261 and run the 241 with the 16.

I like a .325” 81dl/20” B&C on a peppy 50cc. Think Ported 026/261CM ver II.

MS461R with a 25” & a 32” Bar.
I run a 28” or 32” on mine, but mine has one of those Stickers on it.

I like a “sporty” 066/660/661 with a 36”.

But I’m strange.

I don't think you'll hear very many good things about the 543xp. I think it's a rebadged zenoah or something like that. Not a true husky. Just painted orange and with a silly high price tag.

It is built by Zenoah. I've wanted to try one for awhile. But I really want to test drive a 562XP and 572XP.

For a two saw plan, it’s hard to beat a 50/70 combo. So, just get a 70cc and you’ll be covered. If you’re a Stihl guy, get a 461 or a 440/044. I personally like the Dolmar 7900/7910 a lot, but a 372xp/2171 Jonsered is a hell of a good saw, too.

As far as three saw plans go, I like the 40/60/90 or 50/70/90-100... 2-series Husqvarnas get the job done well for me...

Or just do like me and get a 40/60/70/70/70/80/90/100/125 plan going. There are tons of great saws out there to choose from.

That Dolmar in your signature looks like a monster!
