    Husky 353 Oiler Problem

:agree2: It does look like the brake is engaged.

    Husky 353 Oiler Problem

Great, that way we can rule out the pump and pump drive gear. As others have said check the hole in the bar. I think I just recently had to drill a second hole in a Timber Champ bar, it oils fine now.

    Husky 353 Oiler Problem

First thing I'd do is pull the bar & chain...start the saw and see if your even getting oil.

    Husky 350 RPM ?

Have you checked the throttle linkage to make sure you're getting WOT?

    Husky359 vs Stihl 362

Save your $$$, mod the 359 and you'll have a new saw.

    my 359 broke

Make sure you have the correct drum/pump drive(gear). The 359/2159 could come with either a small or large(standard) spline drum with the appropriate gear. I would check and see if things are miss-matched. You shouldn’t have to press anything!

one step closer to getting it running

Will it run for a few seconds if you pour a little mix down the carb?

Sharpening Square Chisel With 3-Corner File

That looks pretty d@mn good. You have the corners lined up real nice. I wouldn’t change a thing yet, I’d find some wood and video a few cuts with it just the way it is. Then go ahead and make a change if you want. That way you can compare what was and what is.

Identify grind on the chain in this photo

The single most important thing for me when filing from the outside in is that I can see the corner of the file in the outside/working corner of the cutter much better. But then again I can’t see like I used to anyway.

MS 440 first muff mod... problems?

If you just peen them a little you can still get them off... they just won't fall off.

MS 440 first muff mod... problems?

That or set the heads of the screws on a vice and peen over or stake the ends of the screws so the nut won't fall off. Sounds like it's running good, glad you're happy with the mod.

Stihl MS880 runs at high idle then dies.

Oops…sorry I should have noticed that. The blue plastic diaphragm came in a rebuild kit for a much smaller carb. I don’t know if they’re available for a carb on an 880. That doesn’t sound right. From what you’re describing it sounds like the pump diaphragm isn’t working correctly. It almost...

    Help Jonsered 2150 Not Starting

Yes…but you’ll still have to get the muffler off to do it. Check out this thread for more info. http://www.arboristsite.com/chainsaw/42768.htm

Stihl MS880 runs at high idle then dies.

Is #5 shown in the IPL missing? I don’t see it in your parts pile. If it’s missing you might not be moving the needle off the seat. I’d also stick with a single pump diaphragm as others have said. I wouldn’t stack two of them, one gasket and one diaphragm as shown in the IPL. I just...

    Help Jonsered 2150 Not Starting

Just pull the muffler and check for scoring. There are kits but I'd find out why it's scored, if it is?

Jonsered 2152 what is it in Husky

    Nice find, great little saw!

TSC bar and chain oil burned up new bar!

Could there be a problem with mixing the two? I had a lot of trouble when I mixed some bio/green bar oil with standard bar oil. It turned to gel in the oil tank, what made it out of the tank oxidized any aluminum it touched and stripped the pump drive gears on two saws. I know people have...
