    Echo Chain Saws

Well moved into a new house last year. 7.4 acres with about three of that wooded. House is propane heat but had a wood stove with a newer stainless liner. Wife didn't want to burn last year so filled the propane tank 3 times. So entered this winter and got my first fill $710 that hurt. Neighbor...

    Truck for hauling firewood/whatever else

I drove a ford similar for years. 1993 f250 2wd with 300 inline 6. The motor would pull, you might not be going fast but it will pull the load a small block v8 would. Unloaded the truck road like a brick, if you have any lower back trouble it will be amplified by your spine being driven up every...

    clearcuts

Unless she is taught to think for her self, she will learn and believe what ever they want. Sorry just had to get that in there no reason a preschool kid should ask you to stop doing something, unless coached.

    Snow Plow Questions

Jeeps with the 6.5 blade aren't bad they work great in tight places. There is going to be a lot of added wear on the front end though, and depending on what year it may not hold up well. In deep snow a heavy long bed tends to be the best when trying to hold strait lines. Also the heaver the...

    Rescue on Spikes

Yep everything was there he was just in a hurry or not paying attention. He wasn't ready for the weight of the dummy to transfer when he cut the pole strap.

    Rescue on Spikes

You can see the rope slipping threw his hands then he gets a grip. After he gets a hold of the rope again it sucks him inward to the pole. And once you get strait with the pole your are going down. The the bad thing is he had to slid down that pole, his strap would just keep him sucked in to it...

    work along highways....anyone like it?

I had a lady just pulling out of a drive way drive over my cones. Then after one was logged in her wheel well she backed up and ran over even more. The drive way was 3 lanes wide at least and my cones blocked one lane. I had a county transit bus take a couple more of my cones 1/4 mile down the...

What kind of tires you running on the P/U?

AT tires do better on the road in the winter and in the rain. One thing to keep in mind that will help more than tires sometimes, is a LSD in the rear or locker.

Chevy Silverado 3500 6.5 turbo diesel Dually, 1991, advice please....

6.2 and 6.5 are not modified gas engines. They were built from the ground up by Detroit diesel for GM. The 6.5 has a different head than the 6.2 to allow for turbo clearance but other than that they are basically the same. The late 6.2 and early 6.5 had a electronic fuel injection pump that was...

    trees and lines

Depends on the size of the company. I work for a small cable company, and as long as you are ok with being with out service for a day or two we will do a temp remove. The power company here is local as well and you can talk directly to them. When it comes to large utility companies though good...

    Clearing under brush

I have a section of land that was inherited and plan to build a house on. There is a wind row my great uncle planted years ago with pine trees (sorry don’t know the exact kind) Well over the years other trees and brush is starting to take off. There are several dead trees in the mix and some...

Demoralized and a little embarresed, oil filter stuck

Got a 02 Tundra v8 4x4 filter is a little hard to get to but not bad. I alway get it from the top and get oil all over the skid plate. :censored: I want to say if I wasn't that lazy the filter would be pretty open from the bottom. I haven't had to wrench the filter yet though. Try a rubber /...

Demoralized and a little embarresed, oil filter stuck

Screwdriver threw the filter only works on a good filter, a thin cheap filter will just keep ripping and make life harder. Strap type oil filter wrenches have always worked for me. Might I ask what this filer is on?
