    MS241 C-M, B&C options

I just picked up a very lightly used 241 a few months back and now have 5 tanks of gas through it cutting nothing but white oak and red oak. It came setup with the 18” 3005 000 4817 bar and 61DL of 63PS chain and the 6-tooth spur. I have not modded yet, as it is still getting stronger each tank...

    Want to Buy Unusable bars

I have a couple of Stihl 20" bars, rails are worn to the point that i wouldn't run them but will certainly do what you're asking. I'm not sure what shipping to california would cost but let me know if you're interested.

    Want to Buy Stihl 3003 000 9622 bar 20"

Would love to buy a Stihl 3003-000-9622 bar, this is a 3/8" 0.050" with the 13T sprocket. Will pay good money for one, i hear they don't make them anymore. I have other bars with 13T and would like to replace my 20" with one that can interchange nose.

    Adding a decompression valve

Yeah and I think you strengthen the muscles when you have to pull start a lot. I remember the hardest thing I ever had to pull was my old Grizzly 600 ATV, battery had gone bad and pulling with both hands and squatting down and pulling up with all my strength to turn it over fast enough to...

Can anyone check if stihl part# is available

I tried the eBay route and unfortunately received a 3003-000-8822 which happens to be the 11T version. I also ordered quantity of 2 (max quantity) but received 1 Stihl box empty and another with the 8822 bar in it. Shipping label said 6lbs but when I weighed it came in just above 3lb. Needless...

Can anyone check if stihl part# is available

Could Bailey's still get this bar now in 2021? I had one from years ago, and have several other wide tip 13T bars, so would like another 20" 3003 mount bar with the same tip. Been looking for a while and can't seem to find one.

    Help with Stihl BR420 blower!

10 years later... it floods easy, otherwise great blower!

    Adding a decompression valve

It’s not an issue for me to pull a 41cc engine with 175psi compression. I have an 066 and 084 as well. The problem with the FS250 is that the recoil assembly, size of string I can fit is small, so I was constantly breaking starter rope and/or handles. Thought about adding an elastostart handle...

Finalizing saw plan looking for 100cc saw

Stihl 066/660 BB Ported :) its just a couple of CC's shy of what you're looking for.

    084 porting ?'s

I don't know what to tell you on the muffler. I would say try and open her up a little bit, going slow, taking your time. The old saying, "its easier to remove more metal than put it back" applies here. Or you could leave it alone. I will say this, an 084 muffler can probably had for cheaper...

    084 porting ?'s

You are correct, it will hinder flow if the muffler opening is significantly smaller than the exhaust port on the cylinder. I usually enlarge the exhaust outlet a little, although I probably would not have gone quite as large as you did. I always port-match the muffler to the cylinder, and you...

    044 issues

This could be a carburetor problem. I recently had a similar problem with an 044 project saw, it would idle all day, but die shortly after revving it. I took the carburetor apart and found the screen inside was almost completely blocked. It has a small part that was open, and the rest clogged...

    Elasto-start

I have Elasto-start handles on every Stihl product I own. I don't think I could do without them on the big saws. And they even make smaller ones for weedeaters and such. My FS250 actually has decent compression and the small elasto-start handle works great on that

    Stihl Piston

I am going to resurrect an old thread, because I am currently working on my personal Stihl BR420 backpack blower, and looking to do some mods while it is apart. It ran okay, but only blew 120psi compression, piston had some wear but jug cleaned up real nice. So now I am looking for a piston...

    360t or ms192

I have ran both, and definitely would have to cast my vote for the 360t. Like everyone said, they need a muffler mod and carb retuned. My buddy that I do tree work with has had both, most recently the Echo. We never could get that 192t to make good power, but the Echo, with more cc's and...

    Latest Gen. BBN 066 kit

Good to hear, I'm pretty pleased with it. NiSi coating goes all the way to the top, combustion chamber is immaculate, exhaust port is real nice, transfers are pretty good. Intake port is gonna need some work, crooked beveling and unsymmetrical shape. But hey, its getting ported anyways...

    Latest Gen. BBN 066 kit

Just had a couple of quick questions. Recently got my 066 big bore kit in from Baileys, sitting on my desk. I notice it has the black coating, and I wasn't sure if the 4th gen kits are supposed to have this black coating or not. I thought the earlier kits had it. I recently got an 044 BB...

    Stihl MS440 full-wrap conversion

Does anyone know if there is a part number for a kit to order all of these components together? Specifically, I am looking to wrap my 440, so I would need the 3/4 wrap handle, elbow connector, big clutch cover (with flap), 2 large felling spikes. I can order all of these parts separately but...

Stihl MS250 Too High of Compression?

Maybe this saw has a popup :)

    Stihl 088, .404 or 3/8

If you do run 3/8" better make sure it is 0.063" gauge and not 0.050" I think 088 will eat up that thinner gauge stuff. Might depend what you are doing. If you're milling, it would certainly be beneficial to switch to 3/8" for the smaller kerf. However, .404" chain is much more durable and...
