Anythings gonna smoke more with more oil regardless. Oil likes to smoke when burned. It also raises compression in four strokes when leakin past the valves. Carbon build up has a lot more to do with the quality of fuel used, air restriction, spark, tune, etc. than oil most likely. Although a saw running 25:1 will stay a lot cooler than a saw running 50:1 and possibly would have a more ineffcient burn leading to more unburnt hydrocarbons that solidify and build up. Chemically thats a large proportional change. Have I tested it no, do I have a good organic chemical background, yes.
