I'm going to try and take a step back and not spend any money on saws for a while. I think with 5+ saws since August, I've kind of over done it a bit. I keep trying to find
extra cash to pick up more saws and I just need to enjoy the ones I have for a while. Plus when unexpected expenses come up I really can't afford to buy more saws.

Got the 2300cva n the other day. P/C scored pretty bad on exhaust side with a lot of carbon build up. Carb was adjusted way to lean when I checked were the screws were set. I have it all tore down and cleaned up the jug with muriatic acid and the scoring is still pretty bad. This is the first saw that I got with a p/c in not so good condition. I see some guys say that they have run saws that were scored and just cleaned it up and did a ring. They may have not run like "new" but were functional. Other say religiously replace the p/c. I don't have a lot of money in it and really do not want to dump a pile more. The money I would have to pay for a p/c I could probably buy another one or even a s25cva (the saw I would rather have over the 2300). Is just doing a ring a reasonable thing? DSCF3411.JPG
