475 dont have a the band in the clutch cover. Just 3 bolts to side of crankcase. If I got the amount right.

I use a flat screwdriver to push the spring home in the brake housing that bolts to crankcase.

The switch harness on these saws is not very strong. Switching all of mine over to a terminal switch

those tanks are tight on the 2300 cva they do not slip out like a my micro type saws....no biggie i was curious if there was a way to tell the age of a poulan or craftsman clone.... thank you . When i do the lines i will look on the tank....

When you remove the starter side, it will almost fall out of the cover, don't forget to install that barbed line fitting back in.

you know its odd not one 2300cva micro i have seen has that barb but yes i know its purpose ... the normal micros they pop right out the 2 like new nos 2300 cva saws i just got are tight as hell.....i will probably buy some extra fuel barbs so if i have to fix the recoil in the future so its not a pain yes....

My craftsman 2.3 av, bought it new in 84, may have to pull it out of the case it came in and pull it down some and check it, been a long time since I've had it apart. Replaced lines on it, cleaned her up and put it back in the case 3 years ago. Been sitting on the shelf resting.

This is on a 2000 that i got from a dumpster find, someone rebuilt the carb and put the gasket on the wrong side of the diaphram, same switch.

My 2.0 had that black switch and every 2300 cva had the toggle.
i have never seen one my self... they all have the black one with the rod.... I have seen Variations of the S25da and S25 av and s25 counter vibes with toggles and some older number 25 saws and 2.1 S25 typ2 saws with a slide switch.... like this...So many variations would love to see a micro /2300 with a toggle ...I know the ones in Canada had chain brakes...some....312848_2024749461852_6667097_n.jpg 300273_2024748301823_3537887_n.jpg 309453_2024749221846_4557920_n.jpg
