Yes finicky!

I must have spent near an hour tweeking it to get it to run and accelerate proper.[emoji849]

Transition when the second butterfly opens is the main problem.
Sounds like maybe a clogged jet or worn needle valve arm, they get lean at wot, leading me to think not enough fuel.

What info can y'all share about a Poulan chainsaw model BG35? My searches came up with nothing.

Here's the CL link; it's damn shame that it was used as a "decoration in the yard."

Looks a lot like this 44. You may have to join the site the pics are on and the owner may be able to help you. It's a great site to belong to for old saw info.

If the link won't come up, PM me your e-mail and I'll send it along.

Got a question figured this would be the place I'm gettin a 4200 poulan wondering is the piston and jug off a 5200 would fit and function? Are the strokes between the two the same?

Straight bolt on. Everything else is the same except the 5200 carb is governed and the 4200 is not.

That would make a great sleeper saw.

Thats why the online shops stop selling whole parts saws for $20 $50 etc. They only part them out now for the big $$$ in the end. Takes awhile but understand why.

Heck I sold a parts echo for $5 and guy told me he gets $20 for the coil. Sold 2 macs for $30 and guy told me he gets $25 for their coils.

1st pic for John. Seems 50/50 almost when they come in.

2nd pic showing the same hole someone was asking about on their 3000. It's there on the 3450 too. Cant remember not seeing it and would have to go back and check many pics and saws.

I have a 306A that I bought as a parts saw but noticed it's not far from being a runner. It doesn't have a clutch assembly with it and I'm wondering if any other clutch will fit besides a 306 and 245, I have a few Poulan parts around here but haven't found a clutch that will fit this saw. I'll post this in the general forum also..
