Stop acting like a kid please. No muscle needed to spank your ass. You don't like French guys, you don't like socialists, good for you, but keep your hate for yourself.

You know, in France, most of people think American guys are stupid fascist guys who like to collect guns and shoot every black guy they see too close of their house. I know it's wrong, that's why I really appreciate this website, lot of great guys.

You start this crap between us, by mocking my English many times (have you ever tried to write in French?), and mocking my country and the fact our government is actually socialist(is this my fault?) . And you did this only because I disagree with one of your post about the Echo being the best.

This forum is about chainsaws, if you want to mess with me and insult me and my country, or if you refuse to admit that I have a lot more experience than someone like you, fine, you can send me pm's with all the sh*t you want. Your point is Echo are the best. I tried the 620, and almost every 60cc saw in the market from the last 20 years, and I say they aren't the best and they are still too heavy and weak for the pro market. That's my point. You disagree? Fine. I think we should agree to disagree and stop this crap. I am done with you.

Awkward......
Ok, now back to the subject at hand..... did the origional poster mention wether he wanted brand new saws or if older saws in excellent condition would be fine also??

Definitely no hate from me..... (very strong word) .... I like to call it "Playful Banter". If guys come on a site like this and tell people a certain brand sucks..... you're gonna receive some backlash.... so might as well be prepared for it and no whining once it happens. ( Just like me calling a 562XP a 562XtrasmallPenis the other day.... fully prepared for the flak even if I am just joking around)

XtrasmallPenis :surprised3:
Just a minute, let me have a look . . .
No worries, once you hit 65 it's less about the size and more about "does the damn thing still work!" :D
:happybanana:

Do you mean like "Harley Davidson super street glide xlpt3-7,77eptl21 series" tiny **** guys . If the noise matched the power they could haul tree length with em . Ok nuff of that stuff back to saws.
Neither I nor my son are pro loggers we will get 30 years out of a quality saw (I am right at 31 years now same saw) and we heat our homes every year.
I don't need a $1,200.00 saw to cut firewood,.. I have more stuff than 90% of the people in Maine when it comes to working outdoors and all of it reasonably priced. Back about 17 years ago I was in the way of replacing my Partner 5000 + with a " new modern saw" I was told to get a saw of equal or more power I would have to spend $500+ in Husqvarna or Stihl so I kept the 5000+ . I would assume the boy will need to spend $500-$600 now and to be honest I almost doubt he can afford to but he can dream.
I wanted to try to help him have some informed choices though when the time comes time and with your help i will have that .I really hope it does work out for him he works very hard and deserves it. In the mean time with your help I can give him a list to go look at and that is what this is/ should be all about not playground threats and mean private messages grow up. If you kid acted like this I would hope you would slap his ass.

OK, thanks for narrowing it down to new only. That gets rid of a lot of saws.....
Husky 555 is just under 6 hundred bucks and sounds like it is a pretty good saw.... 4.3 hp, 12.5 pounds. 60cc. If you like the look of them there pumpkins!!!
Then of course the hotly debated Echo CS590. Little bit heavier/bigger but with a Muffler mod they almost keep up with the top tier saws of that size, very reliable for under 4 hundy.
What else we got???? Dolmar PS-6100, just under 600 bucks.... dont know much about them ttytt. 4.6 hp, 13.2 pounds. Sounds pretty nice for that price, I personally like how it looks.
Johnsered 2260 looks good , but you are looking at minimum 700 bucks.
Stihl 362cm is also just over 700 bucks.
Of course, these ar just 600cc saws, but that is what I would buy for a one saw plan.

yes if you don't own a fire breathing saw and still enjoy it they will " ban" you ...Really ??? don't think so tim

You wouldnt believe my pile firewood ive cut this year in the 10 - 15" range with a 241 , my neighbor calls it mt fuji.

1 ton dump loads topped off for 240 bucks sound fair ?

are you asking me if $240.00 for a one ton load of firewood sound like a buy? I am guessing tossed on not stacked?
My cousin next door is selling 1 cord of split 16" hardwood delivered to your door for $200-225 ? That is exactly 1 cord measured in separate plies in a field where it has been split and covered since January of last winter.
This is a zero guess work cord. If you are tossing a 1 ton full to rounded of wood you have nowhere near a cord it has to stacked either before you load it or stacked onto the flat bed to be absolutely sure you have 1 cord. Cause if the person you deliver it to stacks it,... you had better have supplied a cord or your business wont be one for long. ;)

I know what you are saying.... I used my 026 for a lot of years and cut up a lot of wood with that little bugger. just have to take your time and go at it from both sides. I think concretegrazer was joking in his comment above. ;)

Talk to fordf150 on a JRed 2258 (same saw as the Husky 555), 2260, and Dolmar 6100 .

Ya I cut LOTS and LOTS of wood for years with my old Partner 500 and 025, and then stepped up to a 346xp ... however that said, I can now cut more wood far faster, with more smiles on my face, and with less leaning on the little saws, and less frequent stopping to sharpen, now that I have the 562xp. I'd still like to get an ms 241 to replace my aging 346xp (ya I know it's lower cc), but the prices are just too goofy now that the CDN dollar is in the toilet. Probably just rebuild my 346xp, but where's the fun in that!
