A couple of years ago I was given a Stihl FS91 that had been left outside in the rain for a Winter (or two).
The clutch drum and bearing were hopeless, but after some heating and soaking in Kroil I was able to separate the drum from the solid drive shaft.
Found used replacement parts on eBay and actually got it running. Couldn't wait to re-home it as the 4 stroke design didn't do it for me.

Here is one I got in late November. It's a McCulloch Pro Mac 10-10S.
The ex owner had left it sitting in the shed that long with fuel in it ...............well the photo's speaks a 1000 words.

I'm not seeing the problem there, some fresh gas and a new spark plug and it should be ready to go.

I pulled this off of the saw in 2019, but I re-discovered it today so it counts. I’ve long since chucked the busted-up recoil cover, broken case halves, and little bag full of self tapping screws from my 048, and my brother stole the aluminum plates used to hold the full wrap together, but I found the old clutch side seal off of it and figured that it was a good candidate for this thread.

So another chainsaw has turned up at home. A nice looking on the outside McCulloch Mac 10.

On the inside, well it's not the worst I've seen but it's definitley not good.

Cheers Justin

The 5-10 I tore apart last night was at least that dirty, if not worse. I’ve learned there are two types of “saw dirty”, normal saw dirty and McCulloch dirty. Macs just seem to be a dirt magnet and are consistently dirtier than any other saw brand I’ve seen.

Thats because filth has less effect on them, the 10 series seem to be the dirtiest saws ,I think because they rotate the flywheel through a mountain of saw cake without hesitation!
