end

do not imagine that this (posting a pic) will take more than a minute.
once you got the hang of it.
some browsers will remember you on photobucket so just bookmark the page for easy access.

now go take pictures and post em.
you have now NO excuse !

;)cheers

It's good that you started this thread. Photobucket is what I use too. It's quick and easy. I click the "image" icon on the reply to thread page and paste the link into that. That way the photo shows up in your post without having to click on it.

ha ha ha, a fine irony:

as it is 4:51 just now and I lie awake due to my son activity, I wrote ypur instead of your.
pretty cool considering that was ment an 101 for dummies
:))))
good one new technology !

you`re welcome guys.

ps. if a mod can correct that I would appreciate it.

;)

Yeah, but for how long?

Sometimes when I am researching a topic, search brings back older posts. When opening older posts, the photo bucket images have expired.

So how long are "photo bucket" images available?

I am not aware that they "expire", but Photobucket only allows a certain number based on the type of account you have. I have never deleted any of my pictures and they are all still there, but if you run out of storage space you would have to delete something or open another account. That is why some folks imbed their pictures so they will never go away.

as long as you don`t delete them, they stay.
I guess that if you run out of space, you can always create another photobucket account.
don`t know what is the limit

I have a free Photobucket account and currently have 924 pictures uploaded. It shows that I have used 33% of my storage space and 20% of my available bandwidth. My pictures are all high resolution so I will not be able to store as many as those that shoot low resolution.

Photobucket warning! Deleting a picture will change every picture you have ever posted anywhere! At least it does for me and the site even says that. I don't know if it will change pictures if you delete the earliest one(s) though. I suspect that it changes the file sequence from teh location you deleted.

photo albums

You can create a photo album in your ArboristSite profile

it is easy to do, I use Microsoft office picture editor to edit crop and compress photos into a web friendly 100K and then upload the pictures into photo album in my ArboristSite profile. I then copy "address" and past it into the pop up when I click on the insert image

I just wish they'd left it alone. It was hard enough with the old website now they make it even harder to post pics...maybe that's the idea.

I've always used Kodak Easy Share as my photo server. I should get Photo Bucket but I'm a computer dummy and my computer is about shot, so I don't want to change it. Kodak does work well with my E-Bay activities, so thats another reason I don't want to change.

I have tried all the ways people have posted on here to put pictures on and all I ever get is the red X. Does anyone else use Kodak Easy Share and how do you post your pics.

Yeah, I do. The answer to #2 is, I haven't figured out how. All I get is a link. I got a pic one time but don't know how I did it, so it's possible.

This is the best I can do.
