Miller Mod Saws and the Echo CS-500P

I agree, he took care of my 7900's cylinder, and the saw is a beast. I can't wait to have wood big enough tu bury the bar and make some vids!

Porting, You get what you pay for

I had the same thing on one of my saw. From the same builder I think.

    It's here!!!!............Inside the MS661

Yes, they suck. But when you hit a ****** shrapnell from WWI, it's another story, you just killed your chain. I was thinking to send a letter to the german govt, they owe me a lot of chains now!:D

    346xp high idle

I am pretty sure that a new bearing will make your saw run fine. I am on my phone, and it is hard to see how bad it is, but on my saws there's no oil seal on the clutch side, but there's a sealed right bearing. I think a new bearing will be just fine.

    346xp high idle

This isn't the seal, it's the worm gear. Take a look at the intake boot, the one fixed with the plastic clamp are often leaking.

    Echo cs-800p

That's the problem. Idahonative like this brand, so he'll try the biggest Echo available. Ad I suppose the Echo 800p cost less than a Husky 576, a Stihl MS461 or a Dolly 7910 in the USA, so I understand why he want to give it a try. But imagine this...

    Echo cs-800p

A ported 600p should be really close to the 461. My ported 562 is noticeably faster than a 461 w/"20 bar.

    Echo cs-800p

Don't worry, having it ported is the right way to "correct" this saw. A good builder will probably make it run like a (ported)?Dolly 7900 or so.

    Echo horsepower -from Yamabiko

I only have one after the mod... Edit: And it was a "light" mod!

    Echo horsepower -from Yamabiko

Trust me, the 562 is! This thing is full of crap, the intake of the internal baffle is really small, and there's just a brass tube who goes to the exhaust outlet.

    Echo horsepower -from Yamabiko

A Husky 562 can be easily muff'modded, and there's a lot of gains there. The Stihl 362's mufflers are empty cans I think, so there's not so much gains. But my 1st 562 was a beast after a muff'mod :rock2:

Echo CS500P vs Stihl MS261 vs Husqvarna 550XP

That's something I would not explain in the main forum, but when I talk about a "strong ported 346xp", I know what I mean. All my ported 346xp aren't equal, far from it. I wouldn't say more about this, but I told you again, a strong ported 50cc Echo can't beat my strongest(s) 346.

Echo CS500P vs Stihl MS261 vs Husqvarna 550XP

I believe you. A 50cc saw who will outcut a good ported 346 is hard to find.
