I'm not sure we, The Public, gained anything from that lawsuit. Try to find how how many hp a lawnmower has these days. The manufactures won't publish specs anymore due to getting burned in the lawsuit. The old hp specs may have been overstated by a bit, but at least you could compare engines.

His symptoms are the same as I had on my 361 after I forgot to plug the impulse line onto the new tank/handle. Sure sounds like a missing impulse to me.....

Don't idle a saw to break it in (or idle much any other time for that matter). Replace the broken trigger interlock, then go to the woods and run it like you stole it. Your saw will like you much better if you do.

Agreed. The mounts did not break, the handle broke. I've not had problems with the AV mounts or the handle on my 270 after 4 years of use and abuse....

The MS 361 also has an accelerator pump that gives a shot of fuel when the throttle is opened. If you can't get it to smoothly accelerate by opening up the L adjustment, then check out the pump.

Interesting. The website specifies a 10 year engine warranty as well, but when I pulled up the owners manual it specifies a 2 year warranty with no mention about a 10 year on the engine. Two years on a rebranded Poulan is still pretty good.
