    MS 362 Muffler welding problem

Yup, tig with s/s rod is the way to do it. Not trying to be a cloud on a sunny day but, chances are if he's already found he can't weld it with O/A it's more than likely burned pretty good. Might be time to look for a new muffler and a competent tig guy.

Always a good video, notice the size of the bamboo laying on the ground?

Chainsaws you had to use and didn't like.

A Stihl 012 AVP. A most awkward unbalanced saw, it's not a top handle nor a rear handle.

Is running a scored saw okay if its getting the job done?

I would think that as of right now your only looking at replacing the top end. As the piston continues to go south it's loosing material (alum) from piston and possibly ring material all getting stuffed into the bottom end and eventually bearings then seals. All equates into more parts and...

    60-70cc Stihl,Husky, or Dolmar???

Husky 372xp would be my choice, although I don't own one I have run them. Plenty happy with my 266xp and 390xpw.

What is the acceptable warm up time of a 550xp?

Interesting how the labor charge + tax ate up your $45.00 deposit to the penny. Time to find a new dealer.

    Meteor piston circlips

    Bump, curious myself.

Is this SERIOUS corrosion on the bottom of Husqurvana muscle saw? Maybe U can tell

Looks like some sort of over spray, paint or drywall mud? It looks like some of it has been scraped off. JMHO Also same 'white death' lol is on steel parts, screws and felling dogs and aluminum. Alum will corrode, steel will rust.

    Aluminum repair epoxy

This part will be null and void if you gunk it up with epoxy. I do alum/stainless welding for the marine industry (side job) and I'll spend more time cleaning and prepping the aluminum to rid it of epoxy/devcon/JB weld than it actually takes time to weld it up. 5 min. to weld but 25 min to...

    Aluminum repair epoxy

Have it welded, it's the proper way. Take it apart and clean it up good, that'll save you a few bucks.

    MM on a Hsky 266xp

Played around with muffler on my 266 a couple of weeks ago. 1" 316 s/s tubing .040 wall thickness. Plated the side with 20 ga. s/s and closed off the original exhaust on top. Re tuned it and it runs great. I did notice a slight bit of scoring on the piston approx. 3/16" wide x 1/2" long...
