    I would do that deal, even if you just use some of it's parts it's worth that.

    You should definately buy that 036 running or not!! You could part it out and sell it for 3 times that much. Steve

    i just own two husky so for the parts i dont think i need some but if i can make her run fine il be happy

    Thats a good saw for a good price, I would certainly buy it and even spend $150. on parts to fix it but then I do all my own work so it costs me nothing for labour or shop time.

    i see that i piston and cylinder kit is only about 100$ at baileys so if i found a scored cylinder i will just buy a new one so that mean DEAL! :p:greenchainsaw:

    All y'all needs ta git out and buy them saws. The value's almost certainly there a few times over. Besides, it's better to regret something you've done than something you haven't done. :cheers:

    and if i buy an aftermarket cylinder will i have the same problem than blsnelling and ending with a crappy cylinder and piston

    I've got an 036 pro, great saw. Stihl has tried to improve with a couple newer models and both fall way short!:hmm3grin2orange:

    I would buy the 036 - you could have a nice saw - even if you have to put some money into it.

    id buy it and put piston and cylinder on it if need be. at that price i might even buy it with a few missing parts n peices.

    031 the parts are worth more than that. Just sold a electronic module for $125
