Help identify a 066/64

I have a saw that I was told is an 066(very clean but missing top plate) but have recently aquired an 066 mag. They feel as though they are evenly matched with power but the saw with no plate seems to have a shallower recoil cover. neither saw has a decomp release, both have 20" bars and double spikes.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks, rich

064 recoil covers are narrower, but they can be switched!

Only other way is to measure the jug. 50mm is the 064 and 52mm I believe is the 066.

Only if you switch the flywheel with it and have the appropriate ignition.

Only other way is to measure the jug. 50mm is the 064 and 52mm I believe is the 066.

Actually it's 52mm for the 064 and 54mm for the 066.

The 064 uses a oil hose to bar mount pad. 066 no hose, internal passage like 046.

Here's a few pics of the saws side by side, It's looking like i have one of each, I'm not sure where to look for the hose coming from the oil pump, I will look at the headbolt spacing as well.

Yep, you have one of each.

Two very nice saws you have there!. Both are great saws. That 064 you have there only weighs 5 oz more than a 046, and thus the reason they are so popular.
