I think they have too much intake duration........adding more just compounds the issue. Excessive spitback has to **** with the M/T system.

No. The earliest jugs were exactly the same as the later ones. The only difference was in the markings on the side.

All oem parts with a 046 D cylinder dual port muff hd2 filter hd 8 carb

I got a extra 046 powder crankcase with oem bearings gaskets assembled for sale any one need or want one

I don't have a clue i bought it off a older guy where i work he was needing a bigger saw he even told me he bought it new in 2002 but he said he forgot how much it cost then.
he wound up buying a stihl ms 362 non m tronic a dealer had on the shelf up the road.

Thanks Randy I dont know why but this saw looks better than my nos oem 064 Maybe the plastic is brighter
