You claim to be a Dolmar dealer, but you don't like their product?:dizzy: You're just digging your hole deeper man.

if you worked at McDonalds would you like their food day in and day out?? i bet you wouldn't. currently im an apprentice until the funds and experience is obtained to purchase the shop

I live and breathe chainsaws, and I still love them. If I didn't love the product I was representing, I wouldn't and couldn't sell it. Fred, you're just stretching this whole dealership thing and making yourself look bad. I've tried to be a friend and coach you and it doesn't seem to help.

Thats all Dolmar needs is you to be a dealer, you do realize though if you sell a product you probably should like the product you sell. So if a new customer walks in and asks about a 5100 are you going to give em the same sales pitch as you did in this thread or are you going to tell them the truth:)

Man you guys beat poor ole stihlboy into submission. Yaw gonna kiss and make up now and call it a day,LOL

i would tell them the truth, because if you want a light weight powerful saw the 5100 and 7900 is the way to go. i like stihl because it is what i was raised with and until i recently got a small homeowner stihl saw i thought they were the best,i don't wanna sell out to dolmar but it is increasingly hard to keep liking stihl when you have ran a 7900 circles around your stihls of similar size. i had a 401 and it was a screamer compared to my 023. i still love stihl and always will its just hard to accept that lately stihl isn't seeming to be number 1........but to me they will always be number 1 i hope....

Ok, One more post on it..
a few post's back i suggested he just drop it and let it go and start over..
Even BS , ( with all due respect Brad but i couldnt help it !! :) ) in so many words let him know to get out of town while the getting was good..
but NOOOOO ,,he had to keep after it,becoming condescending and trying to cover his SCAT with MORE condescending post's...
i think he is like any other child that cant get approving attention ,, being annoying to at least gets SOME attention seems to be his point...otherwise he would do like anybody else, lay low and wait untill the smoke clears..
by all of us keeping after him we are doing what he wants,,giving him attention..
some may keep after him because they are annoyed and if that is what he wants why should they stop ??
dollars to donuts he will keep this going because he wants the attention and it is entertaining for him..
so now...

So anywhoooo..............

Sounds like I may have to take a closer look at the 5100. What's this about the 5100 changing to a 5105 with a different muffler and bigger spike bars?

Can anyone answer my question, or "am I just interrupting the argument?

I've heard the 5105 is supposed to be out before the end of the year, but no major changes I've heard of, same basic machine, new muffler is probably a catalytic for EPA rules. I wasn't worried that mine would be an old model in a few months, if I were you I wouldn't either.

What part of MN are you in? I've got a good Dolmar dealer here, if you're anywhere near the East Metro, just across the river in Dresser, WI.

BTW, most of us on here apologize for the arguments on this thread, they tend to flare up from time to time. If you're a firewood cutter, it's generally a lot more civil over on the Firewood, Heating, and Woodburning section.

The 5105 is coming. I believe they are waiting for the 5100 inventory to get a little lower before releasing it. I would guess sometime between now and spring.
