I need to look at the trigger lock a little. Sometimes it works and sometimes not.
Mostly it just needs an air filter. The clutch cover was to make it all purty and stuff.

I've got some new gray colored after market filters for those, I tried one and the felt was clogging up the carb. Some compressed air might get all the loose felt off. You can have one if you want to try it.

Yeah I think it is worn. It doesn't allow the choke to shut completly. I could have the wrong metal controller on the choke too. Not sure.

sefh3, I remember when I got my 034 as a used saw that I had to adjust the metal rod that the master control lever engages. I just adjusted it a little at a time until I got choke to fully close as wanted.

I noticed this adjustment being talked about in older threads on site.

Still needing 026 parts. A parts saw would be ideal. Busted fuel tank fried top end that sort of thing.

I also need a 034 air filter. New ones are tough to find and aftermarket sucks.

Took care of all this.

Moving on, I'm looking for McCulloch 73 fuel tank badging. I want the medallion and the model tag. A complete fuel tank would be just fine.

Have lots of 045/056/031 Stihl stuff and some select Mac stuff to offer up.

Got this taken care of. Many thanks to Rob!!

Next request. For the same saw, Mac 73, I'm looking for a bar/chain that is shorter and more user-friendly (if such a thing is possible) than my current 42". I hoping for something in the 24" range with a matching 9/16" loop. Near as I can tell, any of the 3-25, 4-30, 47, 49, 73, 77 saws will interchange bars.

So I was in need of a tapered head screw for the recoil cover on my Pro Mac 800. Uncle Teddy Wing Nut(Warped5) was kind enough to send me one. Here is how it arrived taped to a travelling companion.

Glad to see Rob hooked you up with the 73 tank Chris. The 26" hardnose bar (and 5/8" pitch Oregon #16C chain) that was on the 77 I sent Mark H handled fairly well......for a 30 pound gear drive and a wide/heavy B/C mounted far out in front of the saw. There are many many 4-30 and 47 hulks sitting around people's shops. Bet you can score a 24-28" bar fairly easily. It'll probably come from a saw wearing 1/2" chain. Try to get the sprocket at the same time if you can. 9/16" (and 5/8") seems to be even more scarce than 1/2" nowadays.
