Nice! I'm sure some return-shenanegans are in the planning stages....:D

Glad to see Rob hooked you up with the 73 tank Chris. The 26" hardnose bar (and 5/8" pitch Oregon #16C chain) that was on the 77 I sent Mark H handled fairly well......for a 30 pound gear drive and a wide/heavy B/C mounted far out in front of the saw. There are many many 4-30 and 47 hulks sitting around people's shops. Bet you can score a 24-28" bar fairly easily. It'll probably come from a saw wearing 1/2" chain. Try to get the sprocket at the same time if you can. 9/16" (and 5/8") seems to be even more scarce than 1/2" nowadays.

This saw is getting better and better. I found a new metering diaphragm (even though I won't replace till the current one patched with Motoseal actually fails) and I've also found parts to fix the primer. The tank badging will really dress it up. With a short bar I might be willing to carry it more than 10 feet away from the shed.

Careful what you offer Randy. Chris is way up in the Great White North. Shipping to Canucks be SPENDY.......:dizzy:

I've found that out on a few trades with our northern brothers. :msp_wink:

Chris is a very generous guy and he and I have done much trading (though I think I still owe him) in the past. Hell I would do a woods port for him with machine work for free anyway.

That is our only handicap in this "Swap Meet game"......The shipping makes it tough on heavier stuff!

Randy knows all too well....The Dolmar I got from him has about 2500 miles on it and hasn't thrown a chip yet....Poor Randy paid for every mile too!:msp_scared:

And its so damn inconsistent. I got a muffler sent from Oklahoma I think, $25!!!!!!!! For a freaking muffler.

A 100 cc saw from Ohio was only 60 something. With the muffler attached!

Yep. I'm on the "owe" rather than "owed" side with Chris as well. Going to send him a couple of little saws that he desires.............once I catch my breath from the last time I sent a package up to the Great White North. Folks up there are amongst our most generous members. Chris and Rob have both eaten the ugly Can/US shipping costs sending cool saw stuff to me.

What??:jester:

I didn't say they were the ONLY generous members here. You're certainly one of the fellows those two Canucks are 'amongst'. You wouldnt want either of the saws I'm sending Chris. One's a slick little Wards/Remington SL-9 with a smoked P/C, and the other is a little Frontier/SKil 944 Type-1 that needs some love. Both are projects for sure.

You'll be cashing in those 'friend credits' on something a bit more imediately useful soon I'm sure. Just don't have the right 'something' at the moment. Got something on the shelf, but it's going to need some work on my part before I can send it your way. No I'm not going to tell you what it is. I also still have that cherry used PM800 Zama C2 carb for you if you want it. That'd be good for a start. My emails with the service manuals are still bouncing back BTW. Tried again this morning. I'll PM you the link to that new Walbro carb since it's not getting through in the emails.
