I'm sure I'll be able to help you out with some bits when you get down to brass tacks....Especially if looks aren't that important.....I just finished two 064's and then two 066's back to back, so my stash is getting slim, but not dried up either.

So you're pretty much starting with a bare set of early 066 cases?

What i will have is a tank, cases with bearings, P/C, muffler, and that is about it at this point. I know this will be a slow process but I may do the ugly build.

She's going to be even more unhappy when your hotrod 346 shows up after the holidays. I'll be sure to mark the box "Dangerous, contains firearms and ammunition."

.

AAAHHH she will be fine. I just needed to remind her who drives a nice car and who drives the rat wagon of a truck. She has been more interested in parting saws now days then nagging at me. Turns out its a Bushmaster XM15 E2S with a 20" heavy barrel flat top with a Nikon 4.5-14-40 BDC on the top for the glass. Never been around the Nikons before but figured since it was there already.
I had a idea of mounting a PP 455 cylinder to the smaller pioneer P-4 series bottom. Looks like there is a place for the 3rd port to work off from. Will it work? Also need a psiton for the 455

Jay,
You should beable to take a few of your wants out of you sig line next week. 50 lbs of parts heading your way today.
Now I need to be trading for goodies for the AR and worry less about saws. LOL NOT !!!!! I need to get a list of whats left here that needs a new home again. I did pick up a nice looking rental shop 55 and a 455. Oil pump out of the 55 and chain brake out of the 455.

Saw Dr we still on with the 365 and 084 goodies.

Now lets see where this goes. I am posting this for a friend that is not a AS member. He has a Jonsred 2095 that is very good condition and good runner. Like most saws that set a long time carb may need cleaned. What he would like to do is trade it toward a new style 090av. Granted he knows he will have to boot some cash. Any thoughts or ideas drop me a PM I will put you in touch with him.

Also got 6 new knives and base plate for a Vermeer chipper.
Thanks
Bob

It should work fine. The P-40/41/42 crankcase is identical from what I can see to the P-455. Finding a piston shouldn't be too difficult. I may even have a used one.

The 42 will all fit up to the 45 and 455.
The top ends obviously is the difference.
I bought a new 455 top end last month ($175). Hind sight, I should have pasted on the new top end..
That is what a good used one can be had for!!!
ya, ya, a little late for me!!
For what it is worth, these saws are far under rated!!!
a piston alone new is $75! Ouch!!
I could use 2, to make 2 more good runners!!!!!
But the top end purchase hurt the saw fund!!

I've got a box of 044 stuff that's rough looking worn parts. I need to do something with it so I'll lay it all out and see what else is needed to build a saw from it. I'm either looking for parts or letting it go. Does anyone have parts or needs?

Bob-

If you run into anyone else wanting to trade an AR style rifle for big saws, steer them my direction. I had a beautiful XM-E2S Bushmaster carbine (pre-ban) my own self for a while but a family member pawned it for drugs.

Jacob,

Really not sure what im looking for, other than 70cc and up running saws or minor projects in any colors in trade for my PM850. Sometimes I'll offer something up for trade to see what people have to offer and if anything that I have never thought about grabs my interest.

Chris

Would you take a Go-Ball in trade for it? They're great fun if you have a cat!:hmm3grin2orange:

lol, Tell your wife that just for her, I have an 090 with a new short block and a ported 395XPW. But don't tell her it's ported in the beginning...

Looking for an 046 wrap and an 064 starter cover.Looks not important.

I've got something that resembles an 064/066/660 complete starter cover. I haven't tried to figure out what saw it will fit.

Don't know what it will match, but here's the part numbers:
Starter cover 1122 084 1060
Plastic dust guard: 1122 084 7800
Plastic recoil drum: 1122 195 0400
Stihl Elastostart handle

The outside isn't too great, but rope, starter handle, spring, drum, sprawls (sp), dust cover are in good condition.
