Mike, I think I remember you from the western, Ma GTG...Didn't you have the red dodge? Anyhow, Bob , it looks like I'm about 2.5 hrs away...WOOHOO!! I'll be bringing my 254 up.....maybe the 181...and this is a BIG maybe......Possibly an 090!! Got a good lead on one, but now the guy is backing down, so I'm driving it HARD! Maybe we can get Nik's sister to make some of that fantastic bread and send it over!

What is your projected date of a grander state of health? Back in action for 2013? Hit that PT man git yo butt in gear!
The busted right ancle will need to be literally fixed first, and I have no idea how that will affect the bad back - I don't dare to have it done yet, at least not before the replacement hip is totally settled.

I guess I don't know how this all happened to you but it sounds like you fell from a decent height.

Not sure if you remember me...I was the one asking about the ambulance chassis at the Western Mass gtg with the 262xp

Anyways I'm working in New York City for now so chances are I will be coming up from southern NY for this one...I'm in CT (Morris/Litchfield) on most weekends...

Hmm, think we did,..... Sure could talk more about them.

BREAD ... Yummmmmmm :msp_w00t:

..not really, I just slipped on a slope, with a log on my shoulder, and my ass hit my ancle, that happened to be on a detent in the ground. Then, the surgeon that was supposed to fix it messed up the job, by not discovering all the damage (etc). Zero bones are meating each other correctly in that ancle by now, and it is at about a 20 degree angle sideways, hurting quite bad mostly, but not always.....:msp_rolleyes:

Put me in the same boat of wishing I lived closer. This would be awesome!

Bob,

Is Millard gonna be there? I can talk to Jackson and schedule the Echo trailer for you!

Stone Cold is pimping Echo trimmers now? Cool.:cool2: At first I thought that was Larry but that definitely looks like Stone Cold.:msp_thumbup:

Spikes GTGs would be first priority, if I ever am able to go to the US, and is allowed into the US....

Don't you just hate that. It's always the little things...lol

Hang in there ST and get healed. I got busted up pretty good this spring and am just getting to be able to get back it. Not even at 75% but it's better than not being able to cut wood.

Stay the course and try to have a goal of where you want to be by xx date. That's what kind of helped me.

I suppose that there's some kind of opening here for a joke about him lacking "sideways balance" or something? :msp_tongue:

Really though, a long flight when in that kind of shape is a miserable experience. If I had to fly to Norway and not be able to move my knee for X many hours they'd have to carry me off the plane.

The red tank on the 372 has since migrated over to another Jonsered project and is has been replaced with a proper orange one, for those of you who might have been offended by that idea.

This is one GTG I hate not being able to attend. If only I had been born rich instead of so damn good looking.

It's funny, I wake up every morning thinking the same damn thing!!! :D

I hear ya. I don't really have any traumatic stories about my knees but they can hurt something fierce if they don't get moved around frequently :(

......

You are on the right track with the "sideways balance", but that came gradually, after I busted that ancle in 2007 - and likely is partly responsible for my hip issue and the back getting much worse than it was as well.

I am sure that I couldn't walk off the plane, after a long "ride"....

The bread that Nick's sister made for the WMass GTO was outstanding indeed, made all the better by being "warm out of the oven" on a cold winter's day. Spike I hope you've got some spare time to practice your baking skills between now and the GTG.

I might make some chili, but you don't want to sample my baking skills.

But since you are so close to Nick's place....................

Spike, what time is this shindig going to be held ? And how late ? And for food, can we bring items or make donation ? I do have that special donut shop down the street. They seemed to be a hit at the GTG in mass in January.

Start around 9:00-10:00 and go until everyone's had enough.

Food is still uncertain. Trying to get the guy that catered the first one, who was first class. He would only be doing the lunch deal, so some morning stuff like the donuts would be cool. (They were really good too)

We'll come up with something good. Don't want everyone getting up the next day with GTG meaning "Gastronomical Tearing and Grinding".

I should be able to make it, I amoff every other weekend, So Ill see if it is on My weekend off and I think it is.
